I don't think there are free clinics, but there is COOK county Hospital. Which I believe is not as expensive. Ask for a social worker and they'll be able to assist you with medic aid information to either help you with your medical bills or set up payments according to your financial status. I've also heard about a clinic for women in Chicago. I'm not sure of the location but is somewhere by North Ave. and California and there should also be a building in front where you can apply for the medic aid card (is by Humboldt Park) . You can also log on to Chicago Women's Health Center.org (this one is on Sheffield, also in Chicago, IL) I think you should go to take care of yourself first and once you get the bills go and apply for medic aid at least to cover your bills. That's what I did when the company I was working for closed down and I didn't have a job. If this is an emergency you should go to any hospital, don' t forget is your health what matters the most. I hope everything is OK and also that my info. is helpful. Thank God for Technology!!! :) You're in my prayers!

Good question. I want free medical care because I don't have insurance. I bet you have a cell phone and some bling though, huh? Priorities.
